This notice describes the website as launched on 18 October 2026. You can read every guide and use the practical tool without creating an account.

Information you enter

Calculator inputs are processed in your browser. The plant observation tool, where available, stores entries in local browser storage and allows CSV export. Article checklist choices also stay in local browser storage. We do not provide a server-side account or synchronize these entries between devices.

Browser storage

Local storage is used to remember an article checklist or an observation log you choose to use. You can reset a checklist, delete individual observations or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Clearing browser data can remove the saved information. Export observations first if you need a copy.

Server requests and logs

Loading a page creates ordinary web-server requests. The hosting server may record information such as IP address, request time, requested path, browser information and errors in access or error logs for operations and troubleshooting. No fixed log-retention period is promised here.

Advertising and analytics at launch

No Google advertising or analytics script is loaded by these pages at launch. A publisher verification meta tag and ads.txt file identify a potential publisher; they do not request advertisements. If advertising is enabled later, this notice and the relevant consent controls must be updated before the change takes effect.

External links and downloads

Following an external reference takes you to a separate website with its own practices. The editorial photograph and diagrams are served from this site. CSV exports are created on your device; protect any personal details you decide to include in them.
